In Golf News...

Last week, a new face in the golf retail crowd showed up with a high-tech solution to those often incurable swing woes.

Golf Etc., located on Apalachee Parkway in the shopping center with Best Buy, and bolstering a new concept for the Tallahassee golf market, opened its doors and invited the golfing community in to see what a new age golf retail store can offer.

Just like most golf retails, they offer the name brand golf clubs, bags, balls and gloves, etc.  What separates these guys from the pack is the capability of their swing analysis system.  FlightScope, a state-of-the-art swing analyzer that dissects your game, from swing to equipment, in seconds...each shot, that is.  It will compile the data into a graphic/spreadsheet presentation and give golfers of all levels of expertise an accurate diagnosis of their game.  Also with this data, the Golf, Etc. staff can properly fit you with the right equipment or take your existing equipment and make any of the necessary adjustments.  Lessons are available that utilize FlightScope.  Much more on this later...

So, who's behind all this high-tech wizardry?  Meet the store owner, Steve Harrison (L) and Head Pro /store manager, Jason Jones (R).

The store opened on Wednesday the 25th of February in what they refer to as a soft opening.  TPCTally will keep you posted for their Grand Opening dates.  They are still getting more and more equipment in every day.

One part of the store that is in full swing is the club repair section, manned by Steve's brother Greg Harrison.

So go on over and check out the new golf facility.  Be very careful of the golfing vortex where the FlightScope gear is set up.  It has a tendency to pull you in and you won't want to leave.  Did I mention the golf simulator......?

Check back for an in-depth description of the FlightScope system and how it all works.  Or, if you can't wait...come on in, the water's warm!
